STEPIN RAZOR


Stepin Razor are Dougie - guitar, keyboard and harmonica; Paul Agbakoba - bass, rhythms and keyboard; and Steve McKinley - drums and keyboard. Dougie and Steve met in 1990 on a studio engineering course and went on to work together at Bob Marley Studios, programming and developing further ideas. They became a 3 piece band in 1993, when they met Paul and jointly shared ideas to work together bringing in a variety of different rappers, toasters and vocalists to utilise their prolific variety of music being produced. In 1996, Stepin Razor toured Britain and Europe as a support band for Moloko, and were heavily involved in writing their live music set which won acclaim in various music review publications. Their past performances include television programmes - White Room and Hotel Babylon in Britain and CANAL' in France; Boardwalk, Forum and Grapes in Sheffield. The band's film credits are as follows: Nightworks (1997) - a short film written and directed by Osen Nova Life Sentence (1996) - directed by Alexandra Kleanthous Circles of Fire (1994) - a student film directed by Amani Naphtle and produced by Jenniffer Denis DUPE (1993) - directed by Andreas Lambis Weed (1993) - written and directed by Paul Agbakoba The group has a very promising career with a sound that has an effect on a wide variety of age groups
